PTO & PTA School Fundraisers

Parent-Teacher Organizations and Associations across the United States use our platform to easily raise money.

Our platform is popular because it does NOT ask for anyone to input friends and family contact information to then aggressively nag and spam their emails and texts until they donate.

We consider our platform a “soft sell” where members send their donation link directly. If they want to donate, they will. Do they need a few reminders? More than likely--but again, that will have to come from the member, not the platform.

no nagging, spam, or hard selling with fundraising squared.

How to run a school fundraiser with the Fundraising Squared Platform.

1. Create a competition.

Decide how you will set the competition. (Kids are competitive.)

  • By Grade. Each grade level will compete against other grade levels.
  • By Class. Each class will compete against other classes.

2. Pick a structure.

Decide how you'd like to structure the fundraising. How will fundraising links/boards be created?

  • By Grade. Each grade will only have 1 board/link to share.
  • By Teacher. Each teacher will only have 1 board/link to share. (Can be grouped by grade.)
  • By Student. Each student will have their own board/link to share. (Can be grouped by teacher.)

The main point here is how far down the chain do you want to track donations, mainly for rewards. Are you going to reward and recognize students who receive the most donations? Or, is tracking to the grade or teacher good enough if you're only going to do grade/class level rewards.

3. Pick a board/fundraiser.

Decide which type of campaign type you'd like to do. Some of the most popular for PTO/PTA fundraisers are:

  • Standard 1-24 squares.
  • Extended 1-24 + 25, 30, 40, 50 squares.
  • Calendar /Pick a Date 1-31 squares.

NOTE: Once a board is blacked out, a new board can automatically be created to keep fundraising!

4. Pick Rewards and Incentives.

Kids like competition. Add some fun rewards for students, teachers, classes, or grades that hit milestones. Some ideas that work well:

  • Extra recess.
  • Movie day.
  • PJ day.
  • Ice cream party.
  • Random gift cards for students and teachers.
  • Top seller/class prize.

Remember, the rewards and incentives need to be able to be tracked, so make sure your structure in #2 accomplishes that. (ie: can't reward individual students, if each student doesn't have their own card.)

5. Create Excitement!

Let everyone know why you're raising funds and what the donations are going towards. What's the WHY? The community will back a good why.

Remind school and teachers to include information on their social media, newsletters, and publications.

A strong reward and incentives program will help the kids and teachers buy into the fundraiser and help solicit donations.

Give updates on social media and create excitement around the competition!

As always, we're here to help discuss and answer any questions you may have to make your fundraising campaign a success!
